In the spotlight: Painting collages

Found his phenomenal collection of artwork on tumblr but I have no idea who the artist is. I love the way the artist combined classical works of art with modern magazine covers, it's a real collision of cultures. Hope you'll find it as interesting and inspirational as I did. Enjoy your week, xo

Another artist whose works inspire me a lot, Sammy Slabbinick. His tumblr page says: "Belgian artist Sammy Slabbinck combines a range of vintage photographs creating surreal collages on paper & prints" so basically he mixes vintage photography into surreal scenes which gives a modern twist on surrealism.
