Serbia Fashion Week

Serbia fashion week.
Place: Novi sad
Venue: Hotel Park
Baroque scenery. Crystal chandeliers. Well organised seat chart.
And there, creme de la creme de la mode Serbe.
So many pretty faces and stylish outfits catching my attention.
Then, the lights off.
Ten more minutes.
Five.
Now.
Show starts. But no, literally the show.
As in comic show.
You could hear woman from backstage shouting at the models: "Put that hand down! No, no that place! Go there!"
People in rows closer to backstage laughing.
"What's with music? Play the f*ing song!"
People laughing again.
Then the song starts. Some young new designers.
Four of them actually.
Collections go, creation by creation.
And everyone forgets about the fiasko. Like it never happened.
Defile.
Applause.
And the next show.
No incidents this time. Music starts.
No more I love you's. Marko Marosiuk, young Serbian designer.
I'm blown away. Gobsmacked, if I could say.
This is where the magic happens.
This is where you can feel the real power of fashion industry. It's not about money, not even fame.
~Power of fashion lays in its ability to make you fall out of place and time, like in a rabbit's hole.
To exempt you from a real world.
With music so loud but perfectly tuned with models and creations so you can almost feel every stitch, fabric and cut only by looking at it.
And not any designer can do that. Not every designer can reveal this side of fashion.
Artistic, creative, surreal. The one with power.
And I think that Marko did the job.
Fairy tale-like Hollywood dresses with a pinch of both sensuality and sexuality.
What else could a girl ask for when it comes to a dress?
